What this notice covers

This notice covers the QuaereU coming-soon website and its mailing list. College Atlas and any future QuaereU application may have separate privacy notices for their services.

Information we collect

When you join, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. We also record your signup date, the consent statement you accepted, and your subscription status. Please do not send student records, payment information, or other sensitive details through this site.

Our hosting server may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and access times to operate and protect the website. The mailing-list database does not store your IP address.

How we use it

We use mailing-list information to promote and share QuaereU application features, launch announcements, and product updates. We also use information as needed to respond to your requests, manage subscriptions, honor opt-outs, and protect the service. Joining the mailing list does not create an application account or a paid subscription.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers may process information on our behalf to host, secure, and operate the service or deliver our emails. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.

Cookies and security

This site uses necessary security cookies when you submit a form and when an administrator signs in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this site. Mailing-list records are stored server-side, and access is restricted to authorized administration. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Retention and your choices

We keep your information while it is needed for the purposes described here. When you unsubscribe, we stop using your address for promotional emails and retain a limited opt-out record to help prevent future mailings. Administrative exports and backups must be handled securely and retained only as needed.

You can unsubscribe here or contact information@quaereu.com. You can also ask to access, correct, or delete your information. We may need to verify your request before acting. Deleting an opt-out record means we can no longer use that record to prevent a future signup. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup rotation is complete.

Age guidance

The mailing list is intended for people 16 and older. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to subscribe using their own details. If you believe we have collected a child's information in error, contact us so we can review and remove it.
